Yes We Can, Change We Can Believe In, Hope and other inspiring sayings

Yesterday I went to the Obama rally at Asheville High School. I stood in line for three and a half hours, got mad sunburned on my face and neck. All for just one hour of listening to him speak. I rather enjoyed it. I loved the energy and passion in the air and how everyone had a feeling of togetherness, not just during, but in line and waiting for an hour on the field. People were exchanging stories, making jokes and sharing whatever food they had the forethought to bring. It was really an atmosphere of fun.

He mainly talked about healthcare, with a couple minutes of taxes. I was pretty excited to hear him speak about healthcare as I found it boring to go through his website and read about a platform I wasn't really interested in. Of course, it is now an official "issue" for me, not a big one, but still there. He did compare his plan to McCain's which his sounds so much better, but I know not to take everything he said at face value. I forgot to ask Topher about some parts of McCain's plan that I wanted to clarify because otherwise his plan sounds completely awful.

His rally did get me a little bit more interested in reading up on some issues and doing fact checking. I'm not really one for politics, I know the bare bones mainly, but I figured this is my first Presidential vote so I might as well learn something.

If McCain were willing to come to Asheville, I'd probably go. Of course, I wouldn't wait as long as I did and I would be pissed about the sunburn.

Obama waved to me as he passed by in his motorcade. That was pretty sweet.

Also, I haven't done really anything today except weed my town in Animal Crossing because I have neglected it for the longest time.

I do have Animal Crossing, but I'm not playing it at the moment. When I do, we should totally trade friend codes.

At the moment I am hooked on Rune Factory. I've always said Animal Crossing would be awesome if it had kind of an RPG thing going and you could fight monsters in dungeons, and it turns out that Rune Factory is just that - Animal Factory, but you get to fight monsters in dungeons. Rune Factory 2 comes out on the 21st. Buy it. I'm not kidding.

Castlevania comes out on the 21st as well. The DS has too many kickass games coming out.
