Tampa

I have been meaning to write in this thing for a while, but have neglected to do so as I haven't really had a day off since my trip.

I miss Tampa. I hated it while I was there (and while on vacation!) but I miss it all the way up here. It's mainly the food. I never took advantage of the local places while I was there (except sushi!) but there just aren't as many as Asheville. But I went to Skipper's, Tarpon Springs, Tropicana... I gained about ten pounds!

Skipper's had the best grouper sandwich ever and quite possibly the best hushpuppies on the face of this planet. Tarpon Springs has amazing Greek food, pastries and coffee. If there were any place I could live in Florida, it is Tarpon Springs (and St.Augustine). Tropicana had amazing cafe con leche, something I can't really get up here. I can make a pretty good imitation though.

The Renaissance Festival was fun, as always! It was Matt, Jim, Mandy and myself. Never eat scotch eggs and always see Johnny Phoenix at least twice.

I went to Rise n' Shine cafe today and ate breakfast all by myself. I think I will do that more often. RnS will now be my place. Of course, I have to get there between the hours of 730a and 2p, but it is a small price to pay for pancakes.

I beat Fable II. The ending left me underwhelmed, but overall it is a pretty good game.
